BLIND ART AND MORE
3/10/2020
GEORGE
V RICHARDS
Pete Eckert is only one of 4 blind individuals working in high
fashion, in the intense Art market for his creations here in the United States. We will
take a look at his rather interesting work as well as hear a bit from him about
what he is attempting to achieve. After receiving his MBA, he soon learned he
had RP, and eye disease in which the person will eventually become completely
blind. But the memory of what he had seen in the past, mixed with his
challenges now, having creating stunning work using a variety of lighting
techniques.
But first, a little about chalices. Everyone likes a
chalice. But the one Jesus may have
drunk from during the Last Supper would be the ultimate find. Whether through Arthurian
Legend, Centuries of searches, the Cathedral of Valencia, Spain, has been sanctioned
by the Roman Catholic Church as holding the cup, used at the Last Supper. Let’s
have a look.
Following the Pete Eckert presentation, a brief look at some
of the ultimate pieces used by children building their homes. Today, these
pieces would not be allowed due to the problem of accidentally swallowing them.
Not so some time ago. An incredible journey into a time long gone. Houses that
used to be loved now a mere memory of that time. The exactness of furnishing
for these places called home is extraordinary and deserves to be called an art
unto itself.
And, a closing reminder.
